DIY Cream for Dry Feet

Winter has set in and so has the dryness. Why is it that children don’t get dry feet as much? Am I drinking less water than them? Could be!

I have ignored my feet a lot this year. It’s been a non-stop travel regime this year and mostly in the Trans Himalayan Landscape. Layers of clothing and layers of winter have just compounded the issue. Till this weekend I got time for some love and care!

INGREDIENTS:
– 3 tablespoons of Coconut Oil or non – scented Petroleum Jelly
– 1 capsule of Vitamin E
– 5 drops of Peppermint Oil

1. Melt the oil or jelly over a double boiler.

2. Once melted, turn off the heat and let it cool down a bit, but still be in a liquid state, when you add the vitamin E and peppermint oil.

3. Refrigerate the mix for about 20 minutes.

4. The mixture would have solidified a bit. Stir it vigorously with a spoon or a hand blender till it resembles whipped cream.

To use, gently massage the cream on your feet and heels and cover feet with a pair of socks overnight. Do NOT make very large batches of the cream. This makes enough to be used over 3 to 4 nights. You can store this cream in a glass jar and keep it refrigerated.

Caution – Always apply a small amount on a patch of your skin to know if you are allergic to any ingredient.
